2008 NACTT Academy – San Francisco

Materials Suggestion Page

Welcome to the NACTT Academy For Consumer Bankruptcy Education, Inc.’s web site – ConsiderChapter13.org – and thank you for registering for the 43rd Annual Meeting of the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees.

As you are aware from the program descriptions, this year’s education program is different. Accordingly, the Materials which accompany this year’s education program are different. The Materials all contain the original thoughts of the individual panelists in their Presentation materials, including PowerPoint slides and evidence issues; however, some of the Panels have provided extensive additional materials. [See the Mortgage Supplement (approximately 645 pages) and the related Escrow Supplement (57 pages), also the Automobile Supplement (approximately 206 pages).] Additionally, the Chapter 13 Case Law Update will be supplemented by a “roadmap”, which will be distributed at the presentation, highlighting selected cases and assuring the most current coverage. You will also note the Materials contain hyperlinks, which will allow you to move conveniently throughout the various sections. Finally, the Materials are paginated to allow you and the presenters to have a common reference for a specific page.

The NACTT Academy’s intention is to provide increased flexibility in the choices available to you in your access and use of these Materials by allowing you to download all the Materials you choose, but print only those portions of the Materials which you deem most desirable to bring to San Francisco and have available during a particular day. (For example, although the Supplements provided by Panels 1 and 2 contain an extraordinary wealth of information concerning mortgage and escrow issues and will be an extraordinarily valuable resource, you may wish to maintain it on your computer, but print only selected portions as seem appropriate.) Of course, if you plan to view the Materials exclusively on-screen at San Francisco, you may not wish to print any of the Materials until you return home. Although not every seat will have a place to plug in a power cord, power strips will be spread throughout the main conference room.

As you view the Materials, you will see the default option of clicking on the highlighted choices and downloading All Presentation materials, the Ch13 Case Law Update, and each of the three Supplements. You will note there is also an additional option to Download Individual Presentations and then separately choose only one or more specific presentations. Downloading a Panel’s Presentation file will supply you with everything necessary to follow and participate in that Panel’s presentation, evidentiary hearing and the related breakout sessions.

Thanks, again, and see you in San Francisco.
